home sweet home

hello my lovelies!! i have finally returned from my western travels. i'm so sorry that i've been neglecting my blog of late - most of the places we went had zero wifi, and if they did i used it to help my technologically impaired mother add to the family vacation blog i set up for her and had no time to work on my own. i have missed you all!! due to exhaustion and laziness and a smidge of jetlag i will not go into great detail in this post, but basically what happened was we drove a lot and went to a bunch of national parks and i was stuck in the same car/hotel room as my 13 year old brother and his toxic farts for 2 1/2 weeks. happily, i got to visit some family in colorado and my best friend from middle school who moved to arkansas two years ago, so that was fantastic. here's a preview of the sights we saw - i swear i'll do a better post later!!!

the arch in st. louis

me in the badlands

mt. rushmore is a lot smaller than i thought

crazy horse monument - when it's done, he'll be riding a horse and pointing to his lands
mt. rushmore will fit in his armpit

we did this thing where we rode horseback to the top of a mountain and then the cowboys served us a campfire breakfast

sunset in yellowstone

yellowstone gorgeousness

amazing sunset - the clouds looked unreal, straight out of a renaissance painting

traffic jam yellowstone style (those are bison/buffalo)

some cool looking geyser thing

hiii mr. buffalo.... niiice mr. buffalo....

old faithful

badass geyser

the grand tetons mountains

kayaking in grand tetons national park

ride 'em cowgirl

red rocks, a natural outdoor amphitheater in denver, colorado
i didn't see any shows there but i hear the acoustics are outstanding

more later, i promise! bye for now :)
